Wendy Diamond, Founder/CEO of Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO), will match every dollar up to $50,000 donated! Our goal is to fund 1,000 impoverished women with microloans to start their entrepreneurial journey. You can donate $1, $5, $100 – whatever you're able to! Every $500 helps reach another family with financial tools and resources to support them as they work their way out of poverty.
Through Opportunity International, every $500 on average helps reach another woman with financial tools, training, and support to empower her to work her way out of poverty.
Your gift of any amount creates opportunities for low-income families to grow their small businesses or farms with financing, training, and group support. Women pay these microloans back around the world at a 98% rate of return, and 90% percent of the money they earn goes back to educating their children and providing for their families – uplifting the entire community! Let’s make this dream happen on Women’s Entrepreneurship Day on November 19th!

Your gift will help bring more opportunities to women around the world by investing in:- Expansion of women-centered financial services and training: In partnership with local financial institutions, Opportunity is improving mobile banking platforms, digital financial products, enhancing localized digital literacy training programs – all designed to specifically address the needs of low-income women.
- Development of women-to-women networks: Opportunity aims to engage more local women to become trainers, agent bankers, farmer support agents, and education specialists, who will provide invaluable support for women clients.
- Helping rural women farmers increase their productivity and incomes: Opportunity is working to reach more rural women with trainings in good agricultural practices, as well as mobile banking services to provide convenient, low-cost access to capital.
- Testing ideas and innovations to strengthen women's inclusion and empowerment: Opportunity is testing new digital tools and interventions to empower more low-income women to build incomes for themselves and break the cycle of poverty.
